The Old Bull, March 2001

A well known pub for those of you that listen to the Archers on BBC Radio 4 as this is the Bull in Ambridge and before you Email to ask me, they don't do Shires Bitter. They do however do however have a guest beer on offer along with Flowers Original and Wadworth 6X which are permanent features here. The pub is oozing with history. The building itself dates back to the 16th century and the interior has oak beams, flagstone floors and wonderful warming fires giving it a genuine traditional feel. There's lots of Archers memorabilia on the walls for fans including photographs and other bits and bobs.

For those of you who enjoy a drink in the open, there are plenty of picnic tables out the front for you to enjoy your beer whilst breathing the fresh Worcestershire air. A good selection of food is available at lunchtime as well as every evening except Sunday. They do a good Sunday roast which I can recommend as well as sandwiches, ploughmans etc.
