A friendly two-bar village local towards the border with East Sussex. Well known in the area for its good food (not available Sunday evenings) and relaxed atmosphere. It's certainly got a lot of character with inglenook fireplaces and low ceilings. They also offer beers from Kent's largest independent brewer, Shepherd Neame which usually include Master Brew and Spitfire and one of their other brews.

I used to visit the pub with friends every July and had many an enjoyable evening relaxing in the garden beside the pub enjoying several pints of great beer and good conversation.
