Westminster Arms, 9 Storeys Gate, LONDON, SW1P 3AT [Map]
Just around the corner from the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben this pub is a welcome oasis for weary real ale lovers and weary politicians. The main bar is at street level, with a restaurant upstairs and a wine bar downstairs. We sat outside on the street where there are a couple of conveniently placed tables and watched the world go by. For the thirsty there is plenty of choice with a number of guest real ales always on offer and the two that we tried were in top condition. For the hungry there’s a wide rang of food available from the traditional roast dinner and fish and chips to rolls and salads for those after a lighter option. One final point, for those of a nervous disposition beware, for the pub is haunted by the ghost of a little boy who was killed in the Great Fire of London.
