Situated just up the road from the BBC TV and Radio studios and also close to the Victoria Centre this pub will not disappoint. It was absolutely packed full of people on the Saturday night when we visited at about 7.30pm and we soon discovered why. It's a very friendly pub that clearly serves the best beer in Nottingham which includes a good range of the Bateman beers as well as several guests. They've also a fine selection of malt whiskies for those that can't squeeze in any more beer.

There's a wood-floored front bar with wooden settles and tables. Beyond there there's another room with a snug behind where a number of pub games were being played. To the back of the pub there's a conservatory that leads on to an outdoor terrace if you fancy some fresher air.

Foodwise they've a good selection of reasonably priced food though they don't do chips! They serve food both lunchtimes and evenings Tuesday through Thursday.
