The Old Fish Market, 59-63 Baldwin Street, BRISTOL, BS1 1QZ [Map]
This Fullers pub opened in August 1997. I'm not usually one for promoting chain pubs but this one really is worth including in my guide. The pub is situated in the city centre in the Bristol Bridge area on the site of the old fish market. A very smart interior with large wooden tables and a huge mural on one of the walls. They've also a covered courtyard where you can enjoy your drink. They've three Fuller's beers permanently on offer, Chiswich Bitter (abv. 3.5%), London Pride (abv. 4.1%) and ESB (abv. 5.0%). They also had a Fuller's seasonal beer and a guest beer from a local brewery available. There's a good menu if you fancy a bite to eat. The lamb and cider pie was great though rather annoyingly served on 2 plates?! The food is reasonably priced and was certainly very tasty. A great new city centre pub clearly popular with workers from nearby offices popping in for an after dinner drink and chat.
