Kings Head Hotel, Llangennith, SWANSEA, SA3 1HX [Map]
Certainly a little off the beaten track this is a very pleasant village local is about a mile from the coast with fine views out across Rhossili Bay to Worms Head which is only accessible around low tide. It's well worth a visit though as we saw lots of seals bobbing with the swell. The pub has a good range of real ales including the amber coloured Watkin Bitter (abv 4%) and the fruitier OSB (abv 4.5%) from the local Tomos Watkin brewery which has been brewing beers since 1995. They often have a guest beer from another local brewery available too. The King's Head is a large stone-pub with a couple of bars, games room and has a very large car park out the back. It no doubt gets very crowded during the summer but there's plenty of space within the pub and lots of picnic sets out the front overlooing the village green. They've also a good range of food available all day for those of you that develop a hunger within seconds of smelling sea air.
